What is Lipo Sculpting?

Rather than remove all fat from an area, lipo sculpting aims to sculpt the fat, such as in the abdominal area to create the look of defined abdominal muscles or in the chest area on men who want a more masculine appearance.

What is Awake Lipo?

Some men and women want liposuction but prefer to not undergo general anesthesia. Awake lipo may be an option. Local anesthesia is all that is needed.

How is it Performed?

Small incisions are made in the treatment area. The incisions are small enough as to not require sutures, and this means that the scars are barely visible. A thin, flexible tube is inserted into the incision to remove the fat.

How Do I Prepare?

Lipo is not a weight loss solution, so you should be near your ideal weight and dedicated to a lifestyle that includes eating healthy foods and being active. If you have lost weight, we recommend that you wait at least 12 months before having liposuction.

What is Recovery Like?

The incisions heal rather quickly, yet you may experience tenderness, swelling and bruising in the treatment area. You will need to restrict your activities as you heal.
