Reve Enlighten Peel
Reve Enlighten Peel
What is the Reve Enlighten peel?
The Reve Enlighten peel is a 28 day skin lightening system that dramatically reduces the appearance of sun damage, melasma, acne, PIH (post inflammatory hyperpigmentation), pore size, dull complexion, uneven skin tone and more.
What causes discoloration in the skin?
Hyperpigmentation is a medical term to describe darker patches or spots on the skin caused by excess melanin production. The excess melanin production can be caused by acne, sun damage, hormone fluctuations or trauma to the skin.
Melasma is often caused by hormones which result in dark patches on the skin typically on the face in a symmetrical pattern. The condition is not harmful but it can often make us feel self conscious. Sunlight and heat are the main triggers for this condition which can be frustrating. Although this condition won’t ever just go away, it can be managed by suppressing melanin production in the skin with the Reve Enlighten peel and a medical grade home care regimen.
How Does the Revepeel Skin Lightening System work?
The Enlighten peel inhibits melanogenesis by paralyzing melanin production by exfoliating the top layer of the skin. This process increases cell turnover which helps bring pigmentation to the surface. The main active ingredient in the Reve Enlighten peel skin lightening system is Hydroquinone which is a skin bleaching agent. This is often what is prescribed to patients that need assistance managing melasma.
Who is a good candidate for Revepeel?
The Revepeel is safe and effective for every skin type and tone – it is the best chemical peel for skin lightening on the market today. Ideal candidates for the Revepeel skin lightening system are those that have melasma, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scarring, uneven skin tone, anti-aging concerns, large pores or dull complexion.
What is the Revepeel treatment like?
You will come to the office for two applications, the initial application and then the second application in 2 weeks. After the mask is applied, you will keep it on the skin for 8-12 hours depending on skin type and then rinse it off with luke-warm water and apply the retinol and fortified bleaching cream that are in the take home kit. On the day of your initial application you will receive home care products which include: cleanser, retinol 1%, fortified bleaching cream rx, SPF 30 and soothing balm. This is to ensure that you get the best results possible. Week 1 and 2 you will continue to use these products as instructed. Then, you will return to the office for the retouch application and repeat the steps just like before. You will continue using the continuous depigmentation products twice a day to complete the 28 treatment plan.
What is Revepeel recovery like?
After 1-2 days after the application your skin will begin to flake and peel which can last up to 5-10 days. The continuous depigmentation system is applied twice a day for 4 weeks for maximum results. During the skin lightening system process it is crucial to soothe and protect the skin with the post treatment kit.
