BodyTite Charlotte, Huntersville, Greensboro
Most of us know what it feels like to have loose skin or stubborn deposits of fat, compromising our figure and body’s contour. Often, these problem areas are resistant to diet and exercise. In fact, they can often occur as a direct result of major weight loss or pregnancy. Historically, the best ways to address these issues have included invasive surgical procedures, including liposuction and a tummy tuck. Thanks to medical advances, there are now some non-surgical alternatives available for patients who simply don’t wish to have surgery. One of the top options for minimally-invasive body contouring is a treatment known as the BodyTite procedure.
Carolina Age Management Institute (CAMI) is pleased to offer BodyTite at our offices in Huntersville – near Charlotte, and Greensboro. We welcome you to learn more about this body skin tightening procedure and to contact us when you’re ready for a one-on-one consultation.
What is a BodyTite Procedure?
To begin with, what is BodyTite?
Basically, BodyTite provides both internal and external lipolysis, which just means that it destroys fat cells. It does this via the safe administration of radiofrequency (RF) energy just underneath the skin. The RF energy works to stimulate fresh collagen production, which helps to tighten the skin. This is a notably different effect than what you’d get with liposuction, which destroys fat cells but ultimately loosens the skin.
Which Areas of the Body Can I Treat with BodyTite?
BodyTite can be an effective, non-surgical way to eliminate unwanted fat and flab from many different parts of the body. Most commonly, BodyTite is used to address issues around the abdomen. However, the BodyTite procedure can also be applied to any of the following areas:
- Waist
- Thighs
- Chin
- Hips
- Back
- Arms
- Ankles
- Neck
- Knees

What are the Benefits of BodyTite?
For some patients, the best way to achieve their desired body contouring outcome is through a surgical procedure. For patients who are not inclined to have surgery, however, BodyTite is the leading alternative. Some of the primary benefits that you can expect from BodyTite include:
- There’s no pain involved, no visible scarring, and no surgical trauma
- Compared with surgical procedures, BodyTite offers a fast procedure and a brief recovery
- BodyTite can provide remarkable results, including not just body contouring but also cellulite reduction
- Unlike liposuction, BodyTite actually tightens the skin
How Does BodyTite Treatment Work?
When you join us at CAMI Med Spa for a BodyTite procedure, the first thing you can expect is a one-on-one consultation. Your provider will ask you some questions about your aesthetic goals as well as your medical history, using this information to verify your candidacy for a safe and successful BodyTite procedure.
The treatment itself will begin with the administration of local anesthesia, which prevents you from experiencing any physical pain during BodyTite. From there, your doctor will make a tiny incision at the treatment site. The incision will be so small that stitches will not be required, and there will be no visible scar left behind.
Into that incision, your provider will insert a thin metal probe, known as a cannula. This cannula delivers RF energy in a safe and controlled way, melting target fat cells without destroying surrounding tissues. The same cannula can be used to liposuction away the broken-down fat cells. Meanwhile, the Radio Frequency energy triggers collagen production, which leads to a natural tightening of the skin.
Not only is BodyTite painless, but it’s also quick. Most patients have their procedure completed in no more than 45 minutes. And, for a majority of patients, a single BodyTite procedure is sufficient for achieving the desired aesthetic outcomes.
What is BodyTite Recovery Like?
Because BodyTite is performed under local anesthesia, patients are discharged as soon as their treatment concludes, and allowed to drive themselves home. We generally recommend that patients take a few days to rest and recover, as there can be some soreness following treatment. Most patients do not experience significant pain, but over-the-counter pain medications such as ibuprofen can be used as needed.
We typically advise that patients take a week off from vigorous physical activities, including exercise. After a week, patients can resume all of their normal activities.
How Quickly Will I See BodyTite Results?
Most patients will begin seeing results from their BodyTite treatment right away. And, because the treatment kickstarts collagen production, continued improvements can be expected for several months to come. In fact, many patients say that their results improve for a full six months.
How Long Does BodyTite Last?
Before seeking BodyTite, patients naturally want to know how long the results will last.
Because the Radio Frequency energy used in BodyTite penetrates so deeply, the results tend to last a good long while. In fact, the FDA says BodyTite’s effects can last for up to a year, but many patients find that their results last for longer. With the right diet and exercise, it’s possible to maintain the results of BodyTite for years to come.
Is BodyTite Safe?
BodyTite uses the same Radio Frequency energy that has been used for years in MRIs and other medical scanning equipment. As such, it’s designed to be very safe and carries virtually zero risk for damaging healthy tissue.
With that said, it is always important to choose a provider who is skilled and experienced, and who can take the right precautions to keep you safe during your BodyTite procedure.
