Do you ever wish you could lose fat and achieve a more toned, sculpted physique? If so, you’re certainly not alone. Countless men and women share the same concerns, including those who eat healthily and exercise regularly but just can’t seem to lose stubborn fat deposits in certain areas.
The field of body sculpting and body contouring is all about eliminating those fat deposits, producing a more slim and sculpted body. There are a number of options available to help you achieve these goals, but the question is, what’s the best body contouring treatment?
The best way to find out is to schedule a consultation appointment here at CAMI Med Spa, where we’ll be more than happy to talk you through the different options. For now, here is an overview of some of the best body contouring treatment options overall.
Historically, body contouring treatments have fallen into two main categories: Surgical and non-surgical.
Surgical body contouring usually means liposuction, which is a very safe and commonplace plastic surgery procedure. While liposuction can certainly be an effective way to get rid of unwanted fat, not everyone wants to deal with incisions, anesthesia, or a prolonged surgical recovery time.
For this reason, a number of non-surgical body contouring treatments have developed. These can be effective, though they are generally not as effective as surgery. For example, many patients have heard of CoolSculpting, a non-surgical procedure that freezes and kills unwanted fat cells, providing some modest body contouring effects on targeted areas of the body.
As you seek the best body contouring treatment, there are a couple of additional options that we offer here at CAMI: Fat transfer injections and SmartLipo, both of which are well worth your consideration.
For a fat transfer and fat injections, we harvest unwanted fat from one part of the body (often the buttocks or abdomen), then inject that fat into an area where you’re looking to gain some volume (such as the cheeks or breasts). This allows us to accomplish two goals at once, removing fat from one area while filling out another, resulting in proportional curves and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Another option to consider is SmartLipo, a cosmetic procedure that uses the power of the laser to sculpt and contour your body. SmartLipo liquefies your unwanted fat cells, making it easy to extract them from the body via a tiny access point (as opposed to a full incision) and a thin cannula. This is a popular option because it doesn’t come with nearly as much bruising or other side effects as traditional lipo, and the recovery time is significantly abbreviated.
As you think through some of the best body contouring treatments, here are a few additional inquiries that we hear from our patients.
Does CoolSculpting tighten the skin?
CoolSculpting is primarily intended to remove unwanted fat cells, which can provide you with a slimmer appearance, but generally isn’t the best option for tightening or toning. For the benefits of fat removal and skin tightening, we highly recommend SmartLipo procedure or BodyTite.
What is the most effective fat reduction treatment?
The most effective option is traditional liposuction. With that said, not all patients need lipo in order to achieve their desired results. We’d be happy to tell you more about the treatment that’s best suited for your aesthetic needs.
Is body contouring permanent?
Assuming you follow all the aftercare instructions you’re provided and maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a good diet and exercise, the effects of body contouring can last indefinitely.
How long do body contouring results last?
Again, assuming you maintain a healthy lifestyle, it’s possible to extend the effects of body contouring for a good long while. In some cases, the results may even be permanent.
It’s not uncommon to long for fat reduction, and for a more streamlined and contoured body. Fortunately, there are many ways to achieve these goals.
